The Dark Cloud

A dark cloud
Enveloping you
All the time
Like a bubble
Just not a happy one
It's there
Following you
Being a part of you
Even when you smile
Even when you laugh
You can't shake it off
It's like a part of your skin
Weighing you down
Making every breath harder
But it's invisible
To everyone else
So when you ask for help
People ignore you
It's all in your head
They say
Not seeing
That it's tightening its hold
Talk to me
They say
I'm here for you
They say
But you begin to realize
That these are just words
They don't see it
They don't get it
They see you as weak
Not able to cope
A problem of this generation
And so
Again and again
You find yourself alone
Stifling within this cloud
Screaming
Unheard
Getting no escape
Hoping
For an end
Whatever form it takes.

*********

Sushant Singh Rajput's death has shaken me. I don't really know how to respond to it. So, until I can figure that out, reverting to the solace of written words.

RIP, SSR.
